Broadband connects people, industries, customers, and families and plays a critical role in the economic growth and productivity in Westmoreland County. COVID revealed many digital disparities and highlighted that broadband is not a luxury but a necessity for communities to thrive and grow. This is especially applicable to Westmoreland residents with low to moderate income (LMI) levels who struggle to afford quality Internet service. The Westmoreland Broadband Data Collection and Feasibility Study is critical to developing future broadband infrastructure improvements and funding. Expanding broadband will make our communities more
